3.A. The Arbor View Student's Spotlight features the upcoming D89 Day of Service. This day is organized through a partnership with the Inside Out Club DuPage and the Glen Ellyn Public Library, who are generously helping fund our supplies. Mrs. Stavros, Mr. Mennecke, Ms. Fujiura, Mr. Wolf, Mrs. Cunningham, Mrs. Aiello and Mrs.Cufaude are helping students in service learning clubs at each school to plan the projects and create posters, teaching the character traits to non-profit organizations. Third graders at Arbor View Elementary school: Lane Dieter, Edyth Eastridge, Kershaw Featherstone, Ezra Frick, Mackenzie Marshall, Lucas Santillanes, Michael Timmer and Marlee York, will be highlighting the work they've been doing this month to prepare!
 
3.B. Glen Crest Middle School had eight students who were selected to participate in the IL-ACDA Junior Honors Chorus at Illinois State University this past October. These students traveled to Illinois State University and received a day of rehearsals and clinics with Dr. Tim Fredstrom from the university. Students then had the opportunity to perform their three prepared pieces as a chorus at the ISU Center for the Performing Arts. District 89 appreciates the hard work and dedication of our students and their sponsor Mr. Koppitz!
