Description:
I have had a request to review the various activities programs and the coaches/advisors that are hired by the district to support those programs. Ms. Sparby, Activities Director, has prepared some preliminary information for your review. She will go over these numbers and answer any questions that you may have regarding our activities programs.

3. Fundraising - GiveMN.org

Description:
Fundraising is a constant subject of discussion throughout the school year. We try to balance the value that various fundraisers have in terms of additional revenue for school programs and activities with the demands that the fundraiser may place on our residents.
GiveMN.org, a non-profit organization has hosted an online giving website for other non-profit organizations for several years now. (Please check out the overall website at GiveMN.org) This year, they have opened up the website for public schools to have a presence on their as well. I am recommending that Belle Plaine Public Schools initiate a location on the GiveMN.org website. |

4. Draft Calendar for 2013-2014

Description:
Attached is a preliminary draft of a possible 2013-14 school calendar to be discussed with the board. Also attached is a copy of our current year calendar. I would like to have a discussion regarding some changes that administration may be recommending to the board as we seek final approval of the calendar at a later time.

Description:
Along with five previously approved policies - 412, 413, 417, 418 and 419 – to be reviewed against current revisions provided by MSBA, I have
included a copy of a proposed Food Service Account policy for the district. The policy proposal is intended to provide clearer guidelines for our food service staff with regard to serving meals when lunch account balances drop below a certain point.
The BYOD policy that has gone through a first reading is also included for your review. I have attached copies of the current MSBA Version and our current
version for comparative purposes.
