Description:
Just a reminder to complete your board training. Some of you have completed some of the required training's. If you need to know what you need come by my office and I have a sheet for each of you. FYI the required training's has increased this year.

Description:
Gordon ISD cancelled school on 2/4/2020. All Gordon ISD employees will have to make up the day. At this point we are unsure of what day that will be and if it will include students or not. Sufficient notice will be sent out once the district decides what is best.

Description:
Administrative staff is considering that the cheerleaders will use the same uniform for two consecutive years (beginning with the 2019-2020 school year). This is an idea that will alleviate some of the financial burdens of cheerleading from the parents.

Description:
Mrs. Elrod has been creating a google classroom for many years in which the seniors and senior parents are asked to join. The google classroom contains all the information and links needed to complete all the scholarships offered to all Gordon ISD graduating seniors. The seniors are also met with face to face several times and given paper copies when we receive them. Then this year we have now started sending out reminder parentsquares notifications.

Description:
The administration is looking at the cost effectiveness of moving to an online PO system through TXEIS. Currently we use paper POs and there is no way for each department to monitor their individual budget. Online POs would allow this. Administration is also looking at moving to online leave requests instead of paper copies.

Description:
In order to continue with the bond process the school will need a complete survey with some specifically required information. The following quotes are from two quality surveying companies. The administration does not have a recommendation on which company is used. This will be required if the board wants to continue forward with a bond.

The administration sent out for several quotes last year and this company was the most affordable. Again this company has agreed to keep the premiums the same.
