IX.A. Consider and Approve a finding of contract abandonment by Adam Carroll, and direct the Superintendent to file a report with the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) in accordance with Texas Education Code §21.160, §21.210, §21.211, and §21.105, and 19 TAC §249.15(b)(5).

I move that the Board of Trustees of Runge Independent School District find that Adam Carroll, who is employed under a probationary contract as a teacher, has abandoned his contract with the district by failing to report for duty as required and without good cause. I further move that the Board direct the Superintendent to file a written complaint with the State Board for Educator Certification in accordance with Texas Education Code §§21.105, 21.160, and 21.210, and 19 Texas Administrative Code §249.15(b)(5), requesting that the educator's certificate be sanctioned for contract abandonment. This motion, made by Erma Gonzales and seconded by Robert Jones, Passed.
