1. DISASTER PROCLAMATION
A Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation has been issued declaring the State of Illinois and all Counties in Illinois a disaster area due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  This Disaster Proclamation is currently in effect and will be in effect on the date of the Board meeting.  In  the Disaster Proclamation, Governor Pritzker proclaimed that in person attendance of more than ten persons at a regular meeting location is not feasible for meetings governed by the Open Meetings Act.  Given the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Governor's proclamation limiting attendance at meetings of a public body, and IDPH/ISBE safety guidance, Board President Green and Superintendent Whalen, in accordance with 5 ILCS 120/7(E)(4), have determined that in person public attendance of more than ten (10) persons at the Board meeting is not practical or prudent.  Therefore, in person attendance at the Board meeting will be limited to Board Members, Staff and ten (10) members of the public.
2.  IN PERSON ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Due to the public in person attendance capacity limitation as noted above in the Disaster Proclamation, attendance will be permitted on a first come-first served pre-registration basis.  To pre-register, send an electronic email to Superintendent Whalen @ twhalen@sd104.us by 4:00 p.m. on June 7, 2021.  Persons attending in person shall be required to wear masks and socially distance.  Additionally, persons attending in person shall be required to complete, on June 7, 2021, a COVID-19 self certification which can be found at:  https://report.crisisgo.net/safety_ipass?model_id=352&unit_uuid=b1d5a2cfd810e05268910e1c3e5bfe50
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
Persons permitted to attend in-person should notify the Superintendent when they pre-register if they intend to make public comments in person and sign-in on the Public Comment sign in sheet upon arrival.  Other members of the public may send written public comments via electronic mail to Superintendent Whalen @ twhalen@sd104.us by 4:00 p.m. on June 7, 2021, and the public comments will be read aloud at the meeting.
