2) Open Forum/Public Comment
Presenter:  Kyle Erwin
Description:  To address the board during a regular board meeting, speakers must sign the "Request to Address Trustees" form and return to the Superintendent Secretary before the meeting begins. During the public comments portion of the agenda, the registered speaker will be allowed to address the board.
To address the board, each speaker should follow these guidelines:
  • Speakers should first state their name upon addressing the board.
  • Speakers are limited to five minutes to make comments.
  • Board of Trustees cannot comment on presentations. The applicable member of district administration or campus administration will be contact with the presenter.
  • Copies of presentations, if present, should be made available to all trustees and the superintendent.
  • Board policy prohibits the discussion of complaints against District employees during an open forum.
3) Closed Session for Athletic Director Presentations
Presenter:  Kyle Erwin
Description:  Closed Session - Pursuant to Texas Government Code Sections §551.071, to consult with the District's attorney, in person or by phone, on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the District under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Local Government Code. 

Pursuant to Texas Government Code Sections §551.074 for the purpose of considering the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer, employee, or to hear complaints or charges against a public officer or employee. 
4) Student Recognition
Presenter:  Christine Magryta
Description:  CTE Industry Based Certifications: Students from different Programs of Study will present about the certification(s) they earned this school year. 
5) Consent Agenda

6) Resolution for Sale of Property
Presenter:  Tami Vardy
Description:  Boyd ISD vs. Vernon H. Tedrow

Judgement was taken on a tax suit on June 18, 1993 on behalf of Boyd ISD. This property was the subject of a Sheriff's Sale on September 5, 1993. No bids were made and the property was struck off of the Wise CAD, Trustee for Boyd ISD and Wise County.

Jason Kirschbaum has made a bid of $1065 for this property to be setteled on the tax roll.

This sale will be freed of all tax leins held by Boyd ISD.
7) STAAR/MAP Presentation
Presenter:  Chappotin & Campus Principals
Description:  Campus principals will present data to the board in regard to 2021 STAAR and End of Year MAP. (This is in place of Campus Principal Board Reports.)
8) HVAC Assessment Presentation
Presenter:  Malek Bekka from EMA
Description:  Presentation for current HVAC findings. This presentation includes a proposal to consider and vote.
9) IM/MS Painting Needs
Presenter:  Tami Vardy
Description:  Actual quotes are provided for the painting of the IM/MS.

Description:  Academic Innovation/CCMR Report- 
  • Career Readiness- TEA approved Industry Based Certifications counting towards CCMR accountability increased to 32 certifications earned this school year. Very proud of these students and teachers! Click this LINK for a detailed report regarding IBCs. 
  • College Readiness- Total # Students earned a CCMR Credit toward Accountability in Dual Credit  for the 2020-2021 school year = (Juniors - 22 students/Seniors - 6 students); Total college credit hours earned by Boyd ISD students this year: 204; Click this LINK for a detailed report regarding DC. 
  • Online registration is open and available for new and returning students. Detailed information is on the district website. This year should provide a simplified and quick registration process for those returning because the information will pre-populate and the parent will make updates as needed. 
  • Summer PEIMS submission was finalized and submitted on Tuesday, June 15th. It was a team effort between district and campuses, and our district PEIMS Coordinator Cara Roberts did an excellent job (shout out to Gabby Lara for filling in and supporting these efforts for the weeks Cara was out of office). 
  • TSI retesting opportunities for the 13 incoming juniors/seniors who are interested in taking Dual Credit courses will be offered on Monday, June 21st at the high school. Blandi Thomas, Academic Counselor will facilitate this opportunity.
