2. The Board shall meet in a series of called meetings beginning on March 23, 2015, to consider all matters relating to selecting a superintendent of schools.  The purpose of these initial sessions is to conduct interviews with superintendent candidates. 

The first session shall be held on March 23, 2015 at 5:00 pm.  Meetings shall be held in the administration building located at 121 East Franklin Street, Hillsboro, Texas.

 The Board shall convene in open session and go into closed session for discussion and interviews under Section 551.074 (Personnel) of the Open Meetings Act. 

At the conclusion of a session the board may recess until a subsequent day, but shall announce and post notice of the date, time, and place it will reconvene. The following dates are included in this notice: March 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2015. A lone finalist could be named on March 26 or 27.

The vote on naming the lone finalist shall be made in open session.

The Board may not enter an employment contract with the new superintendent until 21 days after the lone finalist has been named.  If the lone finalist is named on March 26, 2015, then the Board may enter contract no earlier than April 16, 2015.

An additional notice shall be posted for the date, time, and place for the meeting to enter contract.
