V.C.V. StayALERT School Safety Program - Confidential phone, texting, or online avenue for students, teachers, staff, and parents to report unsafe behaviors, suspicious activities, bullying acts of violence, harassment, and a host of other potential school safety concerns.  Once a report is received by StayALERT, it is transcribed and communicated verbatim to a pre-designated school official for follow-up.  Every student in K-12 received a card, posters are displayed around the buildings and window decals have been placed.
V.C.VI. Yoakum Soil & Water Conservation Districts:  Plains Essay Winners - High School - Mrs. Jolene Taylor
1st place - Bailey Winn, 2nd place - Jaston Brink, 3rd place - Alex Rodriguez.  Mrs. Taylor entered Bailey's essay in the Area 1 Essay Contest.  We will know in late March or middle of April if her essay was selected.
Sandyland Poster Contest:  Polina Tolstova's poster art was selected to be displayed in the capitol but she will be unable to attend so an alternate was selected to go in her place, Jasmine Rivera.
