Discuss and consider Board approval of the McLennan and Hill County Order of General Election: The updated list of Early Voting and Election Day Vote Centers for the November 4, 2025, Joint General Election, Agreement to Conduct Joint Election, and Contract for Election Services between the McLennan and Hill County Election Administration Department and the West Independent School District. 8.C. Discuss and consider Board approval of the new West ISD Advanced Student Enrollment Options:
  • For New Construction: A signed contract between the buyer and the builder indicating the closing date or an approximate date of completion. The closing date must fall within the current school year.
  • For Home Purchases: A signed contract between the buyer and the seller that clearly states the closing date. The date must fall within the current school year.
Advanced Enrollment allows families who are building or buying a home within West ISD boundaries to enroll their students in their new home school before the move is complete. This option helps ensure a smooth transition and continuity in learning as they prepare for their new home. [District Goals #3 and 4]
9. Closed Session. Closed Session will be held for the purposes authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq. concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including but not limited to the sections and purposes listed below.
9.A. Discuss the Superintendent's monthly Personnel Report. (For the purpose of considering the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear complaints or charges against a public officer or employee pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074.)
9.B. Discuss a confidential student discipline matter. (For the purpose of deliberating a matter regarding a public school student if personally identifiable information about the student will necessarily be revealed by the deliberation pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.0821.)
