2. Out-of-State Travel Requests (ACTION)

2.A. Hidden Valley High School teacher Dan Speelman requests approval for out-of-state travel to attend the FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr. Speelman would like to travel with five students and two chaperones during the week of October 17-21, 2011. All expenses are paid through fundraising. No district funds are requested. The substitute for three days will be paid for out of the Hidden Valley substitute budget.

2.B. Illinois Valley High School Principal JoAnn Bethany requests approval for teacher Erica Butler to travel to Philadelphia, PA to attend the youth Service Institute on October 24-26, 20011. Ms. Butler is the advisor of their new Oregon Varsity Volunteering Program and its affiliate, Oregon Volunteers, is sponsoring and paying for the trip. Ms. Butler will miss three days of class and Illinois Valley High School will pay for the sub to cover her classes.
