5. The MAISD Interim Superintendent requests that all the Board of Trustees convene into closed session as authorized by the provisions of the Open Meeting Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. This executive session is in accordance with the Texas Government Code Section:

5.A.1. 551.071 Consultation with attorney and discussion regarding proposing the termination of the term contract of the Superintendent, Olivia Almanza-Pena, during the term of the contract for good cause as permitted by the Texas Education Code (Texas Gov't Code 551.071 and 551.074)
