Description:
Update from Bieber on discussion with WERC Center. We have realized that there needs to be more communication between the BASC and the WERC Center Boards. Ben Schafer is our liaison for the WERC Center, but it is never the same as being in a meeting and hearing things first hand. Therefore, the superintendents of the schools will be invited to attend the BASC board meetings especially throughout the start-up.

Maricar is from the Philippines but she is currently working for Edmore Public School, and they are closing their school. We would like to offer her a contract for the 24.25 school year. We would support her J1 Visa for two years. She has 15 years experience in the classroom with two in the USA. Base Pay: $46,153 Yrs. of Experience: 15 years x $800 per year = $12,000 Education: BA +36 credits (this will need to be verified with transcripts) $2,700 Total Salary Offer: $60,853.00 There is a transfer fee to transfer her J1 Visa to Alexander from Edmore. Teacher and Ancillary Handbook addition to language concerning board guidelines on leaving a tip. Our auditor recommended language allowing a certain percentage of the bill. Our school attorney stated that the language added into the handbooks is adequate.
