Description:
We are currently with Holinka Law for our Quarterly Updates.  They charge $650 a quarter or $2600 annually.  They do not have a website that gives us access to all policies.  We only have access to the quarterly updates from when we signed on with their firm through the emails they send out quarterly.
ISBA (Idaho School Board Association) also offers policy updates but with their service you have access to all their policies maintained on their website.  $1125 annual fee. They also offer Districts a Policy Update/Rewrite Service which is $7000.  Our District started this process with them previously in 2023 and then canceled the service mid-contract, July 2024 due to time constraints of getting through all the policies. That is why we have 2 sections of similar policies with different numbers that need to be cleaned up.  We also have 38 policies in the Under Review section that need to be researched.  I have attached the Holinka Law updates for 2025 and the 1st quarter of 2026 showing where we are at in the process.
If you were to switch to ISBA updates, we can do a district lead rewrite, which wouldn't cost anything except the $1125, but it would be a big undertaking and require time and commitment involving work sessions for strictly policy updates.
