9.4. Approval of Bellaire Education Center Delayed Egress and Fire Alarm Project

Description:
Bellaire Education Center requires delayed egress on exterior doors to prevent students from leaving the facility without staff. To meet fire code requirements, this project also includes upgrading the building’s fire alarm system to a voice evacuation system. ATS&R Architects designed the project and secured approvals from state and local officials. Following a public bid process, ECSI System Integrators was selected as the lowest responsible bidder at $151,860. The project will be fully funded through medical assistance revenue and is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2025. |

The first draft of the three calendars for the 2025-26 school year were presented at the February 5 School Board meeting. These calendars apply to the following programs and/or employees: Licensed Staff, Education Assistants, Education Assistant Specialists, and Students at: 916 Career and Technical Center, Aris, Auditory/Oral Program, East View Academy, Karner Blue Education Center, Metro Heights Academy, Pankalo Education Center, Project Return, Quora Secondary School, South Campus Education Center, WELS, and Willows Bellaire Education Center 916 Mahtomedi Academy There have been no changes made to the calendars since the School Board's last review. |
