9.1. Approval of the 2022-2023 School Calendar

The 2022-2023 school calendar was approved at the April 6 School Board Meeting.  Revisions have been made to this calendar based on a tentative agreement reached with our teacher bargaining unit that will extend the instructional day by 7 minutes.  This extension of the instructional day will reduce the total student days from 172 to 170 and will result in two additional non-student contact days for staff.

  1. The Superintendent recommends that the School Board approve the 2022-23 Basic School Calendar as presented, revised and attached.

9.2. Resolution Relating to the Termination and Nonrenewal of the Teaching Contract of Probationary Teachers

WHEREAS, __________ is a probationary teacher in Northeast Metropolitan Intermediate School District No. 916,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the School Board of Northeast Metropolitan Intermediate School District No. 916, that pursuant to M.S. 122A.40, that the teaching contract of __________, a probationary teacher in Northeast Metropolitan Intermediate School District No. 916, is hereby terminated at the end of the working day on June 30, 2022.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that written notice be sent to said teacher regarding termination and non-renewal of his/her contract as provided by law, and that said notice shall be in substantially the attached form.

  1. The Superintendent recommends the School Board approve terminating the contracts of the probationary teachers named in the attached document.

9.3. Final Revisions to FY22 Budget

Preliminary Board approval was obtained in June 2021. Below is a motion to approve final revisions to the FY22 budget, said modifications reflecting changes in revenue (i.e., grants, revised tuition) and in expenditures (i.e., salary contract projections and settlements, grants) which have occurred after the June approval.
