II. Public Comment - The Board welcomes public participation. We ask that speakers please limit their comments to three minutes. Please be aware that the Board will not respond to any comments made during the public comment period, except to clarify issues, but we will take into consideration your comments, and when appropriate, district administration will follow-up with you at a later point in time.
III. Presentation by Center for EcoTechnology (CET) and SCRCOG Consultant Pamela Roach Re: Regional Services on Solid Waste and Recycling/Materials Management.
IV. Resources/References Re: Food Waste Reduction and Recovery at Schools:
IV.A. The West Hartford Public Schools Food Scraps Diversion Guide is a comprehensive look to how they implemented a program district-wide. It has a great breakdown of the key stakeholders and materials that could be helpful.
IV.B. The Wilton Schools launched a Zero Waste Initiative in 2017 with our support. It has an emphasis on food rescue and donation as well as composting.
IV.C. This video shows how two schools implemented a successful source separation program through the GREEN TEAM program in Massachusetts, administered by CET. https://youtube.be/YD4hYv-UEeo
