Members of the Killingly community are encouraged to share their thoughts with the Board of Education and are invited to do so during this segment of the meeting. When appropriate to do so, members of the Board and the administration may respond to comments. However, in consideration of those in attendance and in an effort to proceed in a timely manner, follow-up discussion may need to take place outside of the meeting setting.

Rationale:

CT State TSA Conference was hosted by KHS on April 25th.  

KHS students took several 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards at the conference.  Killingly has had 3 CT. State TSA Officers who were leaders of the CT TSA this year; namely Allen Perron (CT State TSA President), Matthew Lawton (CT State TSA Vice President), and Alex Stringer (CT State TSA Reporter). Five KHS TSA students will represent CT at the 2015 National TSA Conference in Dallas, Texas this summer.

Rationale:
After an affirmative vote by the residents of Killingly the Board of Education will re-examine the entire budget and a recommendation will be made by the Fiscal Sub-Committee on the final adjustment to the internal line items.   This is especially important as we move forward with Grade level reconfiguration at the elementary schools.
