In order to make up the day, April 18, 2025, will now become a full school day.
Subject:
Consider action to approve the Tex-Oma Builders Supply Company estimate #211032 for approximately $25,735 dollars

The estimate is for a vestibule at the Secondary School.  This will provide additional containment of traffic.  The vestibule will be paid for through the Safety and Security Grant Funds.  The vestibule will be located inside the Secondary School as traffic leads into hallway to enter the school.

Subject:
Consider action to approve South Plains Implement, Ltd. Quote ID 32188990 for John Deere 325G Compact Track Loader, Frame, and Forks for approximately $85,785.82 dollars (Sourcewell Coop.)
Description:
The rationale for the loader is increased productivity, efficiency, and employee safety. Throughout the year, RCISD has deliveries that are difficult to move at time due to sheer weight (pallets of paper, automotive supplies, deliveries, maintenance of our grounds are some examples).  Additionally, the loader will be used when ice/snow is present on our campus.  By scraping our driveways and parking lots it increases the safety of all.  By having the machinery to move heavy loads and perform tedious tasks, it protects the employee from injury.  Additionally, with the various tasks the loader will accomplish, it will further increase productivity and efficiency.

Many of our employees that undertake these necessary tasks are in a later stage of life.  The option to purchase this piece of equipment will increase productivity, efficiency, and protect our employees from injury, thus protecting the district.
