2. Discussion and possible action to accept a donation in the amount of $1,000 from  the F.I.R.S.T/Toyota Grant Program for Five Palms Robotics Team.
3. Discussion and possible action to accept the donation of 2 stage curtains from KSAT 12  for Zamora Middle School Theater Arts stage. 
4. Discussion and possible action to accept the Lowe's Toolbox for Education Grant in the amount of  $4,700 for Dwight Middle School Outdoor Classroom and Community Green Space Garden.
5. Discussion and possible action to accept a donation in the amount of $2,000 from  the F.I.R.S.T/Toyota Grant Program for Dwight Middle School Robotics Program.
6. Discussion and possible action to accept a donation in the amount of $500 for Dwight Middle Science Department from MOST.

1. Discussion and possible action to approve the Sixth Addendum to the Engagement Letter with Smith, Patterson & Johnson to continue and comply with the Internal Audit Plan for South San Antonio Fiscal Year 2013-14.
2. Discussion and possible action to approve the contract with REM School Business Solutions Group to provide coaching/mentoring services to the staff in the South San business office.
3. Discussion and possible action to approve Contingency Change Order 08 as related to the South San Antonio ISD 2010 Bond Program in the amount of $13,213.
4. Discussion and possible action to approve Change Order 19 as related to the South San Antonio ISD 2010 Bond Program in the amount of $28,319.
CLOSED/EXECUTIVE SESSION

NOTICE:  The Board of Trustees may elect to go into Closed Meeting any time during the meeting to discuss matters listed on the Agenda when authorized by the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.  In the event the Board of Trustees elects to go into Closed Meeting regarding an Agenda Item, the Board of Trustees will hold a Closed Meeting to discuss individual personnel matters including termination, litigation and other matters the Board deems necessary.  Upon completion of Closed Meeting, the Board of Trustees may, in the open session, take such action as appropriate on items discussed in a Closed Meeting.  If, during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any item listed on the agenda should be held in Closed Meeting, the Board will convene in such Closed Meeting in accordance with Texas Government Code Sections 551.001 - 551.088. 2. Consideration of Hearing Examiner's Recommendation and record and private consultation with board's attorney to obtain legal advice regarding hearing examiner's recommendation regarding the proposed suspension without pay of Dion Santos III pending discharge.  South San Antonio ISD v. Dion Santos, III; Docket # 027-LH-11-2013 (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)
3. Discussion regarding professional resignations, retirements and employment of new personnel. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)
4. Discussion regarding auxiliary resignations, retirements and employment of new personnel. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)
5. Discussion regarding terminations, promotions, reclassifications, assignments and reassignments of district personnel as recommended by the Superintendent. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)
6. Discussion regarding status report on the District's Pilot Security Plan. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071, 551.072 and 551.076)
7. Consultation with and report from legal counsel concerning all current and potential litigation involving the District. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)
8. Deliberation and consultation with legal counsel and the Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Team regarding review of applicants for the position of Superintendent. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)
9. Deliberation and consultation with legal counsel and the Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Team regarding next steps in the Superintendent search process to include one or more of the following:
A) Select candidates for preliminary interviews; or 
B) Select and name finalists or sole finalist. 
C) In the alternative, designate February 24th or 25th or 26th 2014 as the next meeting date to select and name finalists or sole finalist. (Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.071 and 551.074)

The Board will return to open session and take appropriate action, if any, on items discussed in closed session.  No Action will be taken in closed session.  Further, Board Members are reminded that all items discussed in closed session must remain confidential so as to avoid liability to the district.

1. Discussion and possible action to approve the contract between Houston ISD and South San Antonio Independent School District for the School Health and Related Services (SHARS) Program.
2. Discussion and possible action to approve the contract between Bexar County Juvenile Probation and South San Antonio High School.
3. Discussion and possible action to approve and permit the South San Antonio High School to offer two new innovative courses: 1. Children's Theater; and 2. Intermediate Acting: Comedy and Improvisation beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.
4. Discussion and possible action to approve and permit the South San Antonio High School to change the local required elective technology course from Business Information Management I to Principles of Information Technology.
5. Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of 18 additional math manipulative kits from Eric Armin Inc. for South San Antonio Elementary grades Kindergarten through 5th.
6. Discussion and possible action to waive Board Policy DC(Local) and authorize the Superintendent to hire Public Service Officers (PSO).
