2. Public Hearing - The Board will hold a public hearing to consider the petition filed by the Rolling Oaks Community Improvement Association to detach Rolling Oaks area from Navasota ISD and annex Rolling Oaks area to Montgomery ISD.

2.A. Deliberation and determination regarding the legal sufficiency of the petition and whether it meets the minimum statutory requirements, including consideration of information from the proponents of the petition, District information, and information from Navasota ISD.
|

2.B. If the petition is legally sufficient and it meets the minimum statutory requirements, deliberation and determination regarding whether a resolution should be adopted granting the petition, including consideration of information from parties affected by the petition regarding the social, economic and educational effects of the proposed change.
|
|
3. Closed Session - Pursuant to § 551.071 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Board may meet in closed session to obtain legal advice, opinion and recommendation from the District's attorney.
|
|
4. Return to open meeting and take any action deemed necessary upon discussion in the closed meeting.

Description:
If, during the course of any duty posted meeting, the Board of Trustees determines that a closed or executive session is required regarding an item posted on the Agenda, the session will be held on any or all subjects and purposes permitted by Sections 551.071, 551.072, 551.073, 551.074, 551.076, 551.082, 551.084 of the Government Code (the Open Meetings Law). If a final vote is required on any matter considered in the closed or executive session, it shall be taken either upon the reconvening of the public session covered by this notice or at a subsequent, duly posted, public meeting as the Board shall determine.
