VII.E.5.a. Ms. Rocio Guerrero, Art Teacher is requesting permission to travel to New Braunfels for the VASE State Art Competition in San Marcos, Texas on Friday, April 26, 2024, and return on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
VII.E.5.b. HECHS SAFE Club is requesting permission to take their End of Year 2024 field trip to San Antonio, Texas to Sea World of Texas on Friday, April 26, 2024.
VII.E.5.c. Ida Diaz Jr. High is requesting permission to take the 8th grade class to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  The purpose of this trip is to provide an incentive to the 8th graders for their dedication to their coursework all year long.
VII.E.5.d. The Fine Arts Department is requesting permission for the Diaz JH Band to travel to Six Flags theme park in San Antonio, TX. on May 17, 2024.
VII.E.5.e. HECHS Seniors are requesting permission to travel to Six Flags San Antonio on Friday, May 17, 2024, for their Senior Trip Class of 2024.
VII.E.5.f. The HECHS Art Club is requesting permission to travel to San Antonio, Texas on May 17, 2024.  The students will be attending the McNay Art Museum.

Description:
Agenda items may be considered, deliberated and/or acted upon in a different order than numbered above.  The Board of Trustees of The Hidalgo ISD reserves the right to adjourn into Executive (Closed) Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the items listed on this agenda as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act.  No final action will be taken in Executive Session.
Public Input Policy: “During the meeting, the Hidalgo ISD will allow for an open public forum/ comment period.  This comment period shall not exceed one-half hour (1/2) hour in length and each speaker will be allowed a maximum of five (5) minutes to speak.  All individuals desiring to address the Hidalgo ISD must sign up to do so, prior to the open comment period.  The purpose of this comment period is to provide the public an opportunity to address issues or topics that are under the jurisdiction of the Hidalgo ISD.  For issues or topics which are not otherwise part of the posted agenda for the meeting, members may direct staff to investigate the issue or topic further.  No action or discussion shall be taken on the issues or topics which are not part of the posted agenda for the meeting.  Members of the public may be recognized on posted agenda items deemed appropriate by the President as the items are considered, and the same time limitations five (5) minutes applies.”
