VII.A. Consider and take action on request for Students to travel out-of-town/state overnight:
VII.A.1. Hidalgo Park Elementary 4th Grade Class is requesting permission to travel to Corpus Christi for their Field Trip on Monday, May 15, 2017.  Student will travel to Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington. 
VII.A.2. HECHS Criminal Justice Club Students are requesting permission to travel over night to El Paso, Texas on April 7, 2017 to April 8, 2017.   Students will participate in TPSA State Competition.
VII.A.3. HECHS Pan American Student Forum Club is requesting over night permission to travel to Austin, Texas on February 17th to 18th, 2017.  Student, Edith Camacho and Teacher-Sponsor, Ana Zapata will travel to PASF Pre-Convention Meeting at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
VII.A.4. The Pirate Robotics Club is requesting permission to travel to Houston, Texas on March 15 to 18, 2017.  Students will be competing at the First Robotics Competition Lone Star Central Regionals at the Strake Jesuit College Preparatory.
VII.A.5. The Baseball Team is requesting permission to travel out of town overnight to Laredo, and Corpus Christi, Texas for a Baseball Tournament which will be held on February 23-25, 2017(Laredo) and March 2-4, 2017 (Corpus Christi).

Description:
Agenda items may be considered, deliberated and/or acted upon in a different order than numbered above.  The Board of Trustees of The Hidalgo ISD reserves the right to adjourn into Executive (Closed) Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the items listed on this agenda as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act.  No final action will be taken in Executive Session.

Public Input Policy: “During the meeting, the Hidalgo ISD will allow for an open public forum/ comment period.  This comment period shall not exceed one-half hour (1/2) hour in length and each speaker will be allowed a maximum of five (5) minutes to speak.  All individuals desiring to address the Hidalgo ISD must sign up to do so, prior to the open comment period.  The purpose of this comment period is to provide the public an opportunity to address issues or topics that are under the jurisdiction of the Hidalgo ISD.  For issues or topics which are not otherwise part of the posted agenda for the meeting, members may direct staff to investigate the issue or topic further.  No action or discussion shall be taken on the issues or topics which are not part of the posted agenda for the meeting.  Members of the public may be recognized on posted agenda items deemed appropriate by the President as the items are considered, and the same time limitations five (5) minutes applies.”
