IV. Superintendent and/or School Board Member Report

Goal Area 1 - Academics:  All learners will continuously demonstrate academic growth.

Goal Area 2 - Safety:  We will provide a safe and secure learning environment for all.

Goal Area 3 - Equity:  We will provide a positive, inclusive, and equitable environment for all.

Goal Area 4 - Communication:  We will improve communication and strengthen relationships both internally and externally.

Goal Area 5 - Finances:  We will advocate to increase the financial resources of the Corporation to provide an outstanding school environment and opportunities for our students, staff, and community.
V. Professional Development
V.A. We recommend Dr. Shirley, Kim Osteen, and Louise Neese attend the NSBA (National School Board Association) on April 4-6, 2025, in Atlanta, GA, with expenses paid out of the Title IIA fund for Dr. Shirley and the Operations fund for Mrs. Osteen and Mrs. Neese.
 
V.B. Recommend approving the Professional Development items.

VI. Leave/Resignation/Employment
All new employment to Lake Ridge New Tech Schools is contingent upon a cleared Expanded Criminal History Background Check within 30 days and a cleared Expanded Child Protection Index Check within 60 days of effective date.  IC 20-26-2-1.5 and IC 20-26-2-1.3
VI.A. We recommend accepting Destiny Carter’s resignation from the Lead Head Start Teacher position effective March 7, 2025.
 
VI.B. We recommend accepting Dezha McKenzie’s resignation from the Instructional Aide position at Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School effective February 13, 2025.
 
VI.C. We recommend Dalanea Davis’s resignation from the Student Supervisor at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective March 3, 2025.
 
VI.D. We recommend Colin Yarnelle be employed as a Science Teacher at Calumet New Tech effective March 31, 2025.
 
VI.E. We recommend Devonte Singleton be employed as the Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School Boys Track Coach for the 2024-2025 athletic season.
 
VI.F. We recommend Tyler- Andre Blackman be employed as the Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School Girls’ Track Coach for the 2024- 2025 athletic season.
 
VI.G. We recommend Kiara Anderson be employed as the Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School Girls Track Coach for the 2024–2025 athletic season.
 
VI.H. We recommend Carmell Watson be employed as a Student Supervisor at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective March 11, 2025.
 
VI.I. We recommend Renee Dunlap be employed as Deputy Treasurer at Lake Ridge New Tech School effective March 31, 2025.

  • January 28, 2025, to February 1, 2025  – Double Good Popcorn sales for the Cheer account.
  • March 11, 2025, to March 31, 2025 – Spirit Wear sales for the Girls Volleyball account.
  • March 11, 2025, to April 11, 2025 – Spring 2025 Instrumental Concert ticket sales for the Music Performances SFW account.
  • March 11, 2025, to April 11, 2025 – Spring 2025 Performance ticket sales for the Music Performance SFW account.
  • April 21, April 23, April 30, May 9, 2025 – Kona Ice sales for the Athletic account.
VII.C. We recommend approving a purchase order of over $10, 000 for the CSO Network Hosting Renewal.
