As a result of large losses nationally and within the program rates generally increased a minimum of 17% over last year (Page 4). As a result of the overall increase; Greater Albany bringing on additional square footage (exposure) our overall premium increased by 22.79%, or $139,172 (Page 6).

Greater Albany is insured for Workers Compensation through SAIF Corporation. Rates will increase 6.8%, ($23,028) primarily as a result of the school district's experience rating increasing from 1.00 to 1.11 (1.0 representing average).

Staff recommends the Board select PACE as the School District's carrier for Property, Liability, Automobile, and Crime coverage and SAIF Corporation as its Worker's Compensation carrier.
