2. Public Hearing - 2011-2012 Proposed Tax Rate and Budget
Description:
This period is an opportunity for any taxpayer/resident of the district to voice concerns, etc. regarding the upcoming fiscal year, either about the budget or the revenue (tax rate).  I'm not sure how many residents you've had in the past but I know Riviera ISD rarely had more than 1 or 2 concerned citizens, especially if we were not raising the tax rate.

3. Budget Workshop
Description:
We will adjourn from the hearing into workshop mode to discuss the 11-12 budget.  Please make sure we move from workshop mode back to meeting mode when we finish the discussion.

4. Approval of the 2011 Certified Roll for Agua Dulce ISD from the Chief Appraisers Nueces County
Description:
The Board of Trustees must approve the certified tax rolls as presented by Nueces County Appraisal District.

Description:
See above.  Because our school boundary extends over two counties we must approve both rolls (and pay fees to both entities!)

Description:
Keep in mind that the budget is a planning document and not set in stone, which is why we have budget amendment apparatus available to us throughout the year.

Description:
It is customary for 4-H and outside FFA groups to request recognition so that their activities can be considered extracurricular events.

8.F. Approval of Resolution of the Board to Suspend Portions of EIE (Local) for the 2011-2012 School Year Only
Description:
Policy EIE (Local) deals with passing standards for Grade 5 and 8 on TAKS (STAAR) but those standards will not be prepared by the time the test is administered.  Therefore, you are approving the suspension of that portion of EIE (Local) dealing with the standards.
