1. Consider/approve the propasal from Adams  Inspection Service to complete an inspection of the K-12 building.
Description:
We can inspect the Falls City School property as we discussed to include the foundation, drainage as it pertains to the foundation, flatwork, exterior walls, siding, accessible structural framing, roofing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, doors, windows, egress, restrooms, etc. As well we will address the concerns the board and you may have with what is perceived as construction defects and offer our opinion on the subject matter. We can also attend the school board meeting with our findings to answer questions and discuss our findings. Our services may include some document review but is not a complete audit of the specifications of the design of the school system.

We will inspect the building under applicable codes and ASTM standards, the inspection process will take 4-6 days on site and will require 2 people on site over part of the time-period to conduct the inspection. The building will be inspected on weekends or off days to prevent any interference with the learning process, it will be important to have access to each room/area of the building to ensure the inspection process is not hampered. There will be at least 2 days of report writing making the entire process 6-8 days, the onsite inspection will require 2 weekends at a minimum to conduct. Our report will include photo’s and be broken down into categories with heading and subheadings to make for an easier read to locate data in the applicable locations of the report.  We estimate the cost to be between 6,000-8,000 based on length of time it takes to conduct the inspection. We have included a resume with our email and if we can be of further assistance please let me know.
