1. Information Item: Board Training Workshop 
The Board of Trustees will participate with the superintendent in this teambuilding workshop. The session will enhance the effectiveness of the board-superintendent team, and include a discussion and assessment of continuing education activities for the year.  The session will also include a review of the roles, rights, and responsibilities of the board.  Discussion on planning and needs may include the following topics:  AISD vision and Visioning Institute document; District Management Council; blended learning; community initiatives and involvement; maximizing student performance; improving student success and discipline; District 1-2-3s; Profile of a Graduate initiative; Senior Student Forum; Gallup poll; University Interscholastic League; serving pregnant students; and campus visits.  This training shall also represent one component of the superintendent's ongoing professional development.

The workshop will last a minimum of three hours; no action will be taken.
