North Shore Senior High School is only the fifth school in Texas to receive the Earl D. Irons Program of Distinction in the award’s history.

Galena Park ISD will recognize the North Shore Mustang Varsity Football Team for defeating the Duncanville Panthers on December 20, 2025, to win the 2025 UIL Texas Football 6A Division 1 State Championship. This is North Shore’s second state championship in five years and sixth state championship overall.
