IX.A. Brian Aubin, Director of Student Nutrition, will present the Academic Spotlight at the October 6, 2025, board meeting. Mr. Aubin will highlight some of the outstanding programs and initiatives of the Student Nutrition Department. The presentation will be in video format.

XI. NEW BUSINESS - ACTION

XI.A. Consider designation of ten non-business days, as presented, to comply with Texas Public Information Act timelines and House Bill 3033.

XI.B. Consider approval of a Board Resolution and a three-year contingent fee contract for the period of November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2028, with Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, LLP pursuant to Section 6.30 of the Tax Code, for the collection of delinquent government receivables owed to Galena Park Independent School District and delegate authority to the Superintendent, or designee, to negotiate and execute contract on behalf of the District. Notice of said contract is posted with the agenda in accordance with Section 2254 of the Government Code.

XI.C. Consider adopting the resolution for the property tax rate to be increased by the adoption of a tax rate of $1.24990, establishing a Maintenance and Operations tax rate of $0.87559, and a Debt Service tax rate of $0.37431, which is effectively an 8.31 percent increase in the tax rate.

XI.D. Consider approval of the resolution stating that ‘de minimis’ items serve a public purpose.
