VII.A.1. Galena Park ISD will recognize SSAB for their generous donation to Galena Park High School, Galena Park Middle School, North Shore Middle School, and Woodland Acres Middle School Fine Arts Departments.
VII.A.2. Galena Park ISD will recognize United Community Credit Union for donating Christmas gifts to thirty foster care students and two at-risk families.

VII.B.1. Galena Park ISD will recognize the Business Services Department for earning the Association of School Business Officials' International Meritorious Budget Award for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, the Texas School of Business Officials' Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2021-2022 fiscal year from the Government Finance Officers Association.
VII.B.2. Galena Park ISD will recognize the Galena Park ISD Education Foundation team and Board of Directors for partnering with the Galena Park ISD's Mental Health Intervention and Social Services Team to host the annual Mental Health Awareness Fair.
VII.B.3. Galena Park ISD will recognize Lee Sennet, a School Counselor at North Shore Senior High Ninth Grade Center, for receiving the Texas Counseling Association Counselor of the Year 2024 Rhosine Fleming Award.
VII.C. Student:
VII.C.1. Galena Park ISD will recognize Madelyn Trevino, a senior at Galena Park High School, for inclusion in the 2023 Texas Art Education Association's (TAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibition.

IX. ACADEMIC SPOTLIGHT
IX.A. Toby Castro, Director for Career and Technical Education, will present the Academic Spotlight at the March 4, 2024, board meeting. Mr. Castro will highlight the Career and Technical Education programs, industry certifications, and business partnerships. The presentation will be in video format.
X. REPORT
X.A. Harold “Sonny” Fletcher III, Senior Director for Facility Planning and Construction, will provide a 2016 Bond Program and Facilities construction update.
XI. NEW BUSINESS - ACTION
XI.A. Consider approval of the Interlocal Agreement for Joint Elections between Galena Park Independent School District and Jacinto City calling for the conduct of a joint election agreement pursuant to Texas Election Code and Texas Education Code on May 4, 2024.
XI.B. Consider approval in nominating Dr. John C. Moore for the 2024 Texas Association of School Board (TASB) Superintendent of the Year Award.
