Description:
At this point, the agenda proposed by the Superintendent becomes the official agenda upon formal approval of the Board of Education. Any additional items will be considered for the next agenda or referred to the administration for study and review prior to inclusion on the agenda

Description:
This cannot be done legally by secret ballot. Hands must be raised. Chair is elected first, then Vice-Chair, Clerk, and Treasurer.

6. CONSENT - SET BOARD MEETING DATES

All regular meetings have been held the second Monday of each month in the Dover-Eyota High School Media Center starting at 7:00 PM unless otherwise stated. a) b) Set Board Meeting Dates February 2019 through January 2020 February 18, 2019 July 8, 2019 December 9, 2019 (6:30 PM with the March 11, 2019 August 12, 2019 property tax mtg at 6 PM) April 8, 2019 September 9, 2019 January 13, 2020 to include an May 13, 2019 October 14, 2019 organizational mtg 1/2 hour prior June 10, 2019 November 12, 2019 The Board moved the February 11, 2019 meeting to Tuesday, February 18 due to Superintendent Mike Carolan being gone on February 11th. b) Set Board Meeting Dates February 2020 through January 2021 February 17, 2020 July 13, 2020 December 14, 2020 (6:30 PM with the March 9, 2020 August 10, 2020 property tax mtg at 6 PM) April 13, 2020 September 14, 2020 January 11, 2021 to include an May 11, 2020 October 12, 2020 organizational mtg 1/2 hour prior June 8, 2020 November 9, 2020 We recommend that the School Board meeting in February be scheduled for February 17th due to Superintendent Mike Carolan being gone on February 10th c) Set Property Tax Information Meeting for 2019 We recommend the School Levy Information Meeting be held 1/2 hour prior to the December Board meeting where the levy is approved, with the meeting being publicized in the Eagle and on the tax statement. |

7. SET OFFICERS' PAY AND BOARD SALARY FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2019

The Clerk, Vice–Chair and Treasurer’s salaries were increased by $50 at the January 2013 meeting. Year 2018 Year 2019
Regular Salary $1,350 __________ Matching 457 Plan District Contribution up to $1,000 __________ Committee Work $ 300 __________ Additional Salary for Chair $ 500 __________ Additional Salary for Clerk $ 250 __________ Additional Salary for Vice-Chair $ 200 __________ Additional Salary for Treasurer $ 200 __________ Negotiations Team $1,800 for each bargaining unit (Payment made to team. Disbursement decisions made by team.) ________ Per Day (or $50 per half day) to Negotiations Team during mediation $ 100 ________ Per Day (or $50 per half day) for attending Board-recommended conferences or training $ 100 ________ |

8. BOARD ASSIGNMENT OF DUTIES

Description:
Requires a separate vote since it is a resolution.
The motion is to approve the following resolution: The Superintendent of Schools shall assign District Office staff to perform the duties of the offices of Board Clerk and Board Treasurer. District Office staff complete these jobs as part of their normal duties. |
