Description:
Vermilion County districts have discussed the idea of utlizing elearning on January 4th,5th, and 6th. We would then return on Thursday, January 7th. January 8th is supposed to be an eLearning day but this would become a regular in-school attendance day. The hope would be to allow for a buffer between the holidays and the students returning to in-person instruction. Hopefully, any families exposed during the holidays would be identified prior to returning to the buildng.

Description:
After conversation with the VCHD this is a chance we will be allowed to administer rapid tests within our district. I still have lots of questions but wanted to get the board's opinion before moving foward with any interest. We can discuss the positives as well as the risks associated with this.

I. Insurance Renewal for FY21 ACTION

Description:
We are proceeding with the same Health Alliance plan for 2021 that we started in 2020. This plan is a $5500 deductible HRA plan. In this plan, the employee is resonsible for the first $2500 of the deducible, and the board assumes the remaining $3000. This is in an effort to keep premiums affordable. The board, per the RAEA Collective Bargaining Agreement also plays $475 toward the employee's monthly preminums.
Approximately $20,000 in premiums were saved YTD. HRA reimbursements will continue until the end of the year. So far we’ve had 2 members max out the $3,000, another 3 members have hit their portion of the deductible ($2,500) and have HRA dollars available. Rossville has only used 11% of the HRA liability through October. 40% of the population would have to max the HRA to break even so we are in an excellent situation. Regarding the savings, the employees saved by paying lower premiums over the $475 Rossville contribution. The school district saves with lessor HRA utilization. |
