Description:
The BOE received a thank you card from the family of Marjorie Speer for the memorial plant sent.  The BOE also received thank yous from Glenview Middle School Staff and Hillcrest School Staff.

IV. Public Comment
Description:
At this time, the President of the Board of Education will recognize visitors and ask if any citizen of the community is interested in speaking to members of the Board of Education. Time allowed will generally be limited to three minutes for each individual, unless waived by the President. All individuals who wish to address the Board of Education must sign up in advance. The President may limit the opportunity to address the Board in cases where a person has previously addressed the Board on the same or related subject. Issues brought to the Board prior to being channeled through the proper chain of command will be referred back to the appropriate level.

Jovani Lopez has been employed as a 2.5-hour playground aide at Hillcrest, effective November 18, 2021.
Katelynn Agan has been employed as a 2.5-hour playground aide at Wells Elementary, effective December 9, 2021.
Beth Todd has been employed as a 7-hour kitchen manager at Glenview Middle School, effective December 9, 2021.
Frances Driscal and Isela Rosas have been employed as instructional aides at Hillcrest Elementary, effective December 9, 2021.
Karina Rodriguez has been employed as an instructional aide at Wells Elementary, effective December 9, 2021.
Raiza Hunn has been employed as an office aide at Bowlesburg Elementary, effective December 9, 2021.  Ms. Hunn also works as a District Parent Involvement Coordinator.

Description:

Karen Gengler has requested an extension of her unpaid leave through March 21, 2022.  Ms. Gengler works as a general kitchen helper and her request is for medical reasons.

May Turner has requested unpaid leave from October 28, 2021 until December 29, 2021 for medical reasons.  Ms. Turner works as an administrative assistant to the Superintendent.

Tracy Elliott has requested unpaid leave from her food service department responsibilities from December 16, 2021 until January 30, 2022, for medical reasons.
