PRESIDENT: This is the time during the meeting in which the public is invited to provide comments. In keeping with Board Policy 2:230, we ask that visitors address the Board only at the appropriate time as indicated on the agenda and when recognized by the Board President. Please introduce yourself and keep comments to 2 minutes so that everyone who wishes to address the Board may do so. The Board and members of the administration do not respond to public comments. Questions or concerns will be referred to Dr. Henderson and you will receive follow-up communication from her office. I have ____ person(s) who have indicated they would like to address the board. I move that the Board of education approve the hiring of a 0.5 PE teacher and a set aside in the budget for a 1.0 FTE kindergarten teacher if enrollment dictates need.

Description:
I move that the Board of Education approve the implementation of Spanish 1 and a STEM pathway for 8th grade students. In addition, I move that the Board of Education approve art to be offered to 8th graders three days per week in lieu of Discovery Zone for students who do not need intervention.
