Description:
The Geneva CUSD 304 Board of Education will receive input and testimony from school personnel, parents, and other community members concerning seeking a waiver renewal for modification of the School Code. The Board seeks permission from the State Board to excuse pupils enrolled in Grades 11 and 12 from engaging in P.E. courses for any of the following reasons: ongoing participation in an interscholastic athletic program, cheerleading program or pompon/dance program. If granted, the waiver renewal would allow the Board to excuse pupils who request to be excused from physical education courses for ongoing participation in an interscholastic athletic program, a cheerleading program, or a pompon/dance program.
