Description:
The following procedures for public comment are established by Policy.
All individual comments will be limited to three minutes unless the chair extends the time limit. We will limit comments to 21 minutes total. Comments may also be allowed at the time of the agenda item. Issues requiring more time should be placed in writing and forwarded to the superintendent.(at least five working days prior to Board meeting date) Speakers are required to sign up with an audience comments card (give to Board secretary before meeting begins) and announce their name and speak from the table, lectern or microphone. Advice from OSBA: It is not a good idea to engage the public in a discussion at this time. All comments should be directed to the chair. it is appropriate for the chair to direct the superintendent to answer any questions or concerns with the speaker at a later time. Due to the coronavirus/COVID-19 state-wide restrictions, and in keeping with the efforts of social distancing to reduce the spread of the coronavirus/COVID-19, the meeting of the Corbett School District Board will be online, rather than in person. Public comment will be requested and accepted through email to dschneider@corbett.k12.or.us by Tuesday, at 4:00 p.m. prior to the meeting. During the meeting you will be called upon to speak in the order as listed on the agenda. |
