Description:
Since 2019, Weber School District has hired 21 mental health therapists to serve students with a range of mental health issues.  The program is available now for all grade levels in each school and also supports teachers.  In any given year, over 1,000 students are served. The team has become increasingly aware of the unique needs of students and is better equipped to offer appropriate support.

5.A. Approval to Declare Boundary Studies and Organize Boundary Study Teams
Presenter:
Mary Jo Williams
Description:
With the construction of three new schools in Taylor (high school), West Haven (junior high & elementary), it is necessary to study boundaries due to the potential number of students involved.  Level III adjustments are required if it involves two or more schools, a new school, or involves re-balancing of student enrollment.  Boundary study teams must be formed at district and school levels to make proposals regarding these adjustments.  It is recommended the Board approve Boundary Studies for the Weber, Fremont, and Roy school cones that include secondary and elementary levels.
