"Using Data to Make Data Informed Decisions, Set Benchmarks, and Improve Student Achievement"

Mr. DeYoung will demonstrate how to design assessment systems that align with external measures, including the selection of instruments, collection and storage of data, and retrieval and interpretation of the data.  He will explain how key components help build the capacity of key leaders, and discuss how staff development and data analysis inform instructional and resource allocations decisions.  

Mr. DeYoung has been the assessment systems architect for Elgin School District U-46 since July 2003, where he is an education consultant focused on building capacity in systems and people to become wiser data informed decision-makers.
