IX.A. Public Comment On Maintenance and Operations Override- Dr. Koerperich
A.R.S. 15-481 requires that each school district that currently increases the district budget through a Maintenance and Operations (M & O) Override holds a public meeting each year to provide an update of the programs or capital improvements financed through the override. We would like to provide time to discuss our district’s use of our 10% M & O Override and take public comments as applicable.

The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) administrative procedure that outlines district procedures for the use of, vetting and approval processes for the use of AI at HUSD #3.  This procedure will be a working document as AI advances.  The administrative procedure is included in the back-up materials.

The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of the 2025-2026 Holbrook School District Gifted Scope and Sequence as presented. The Gifted Scope and Sequence is part of the school and district Title I programs. The scope and sequence procedure is listed in the back-up materials.

IX.K. Teens Make Health Happen Program Memorandum Of Understanding- Ms. Gover
Description:
Holbrook Junior High School is Governing Board approval of a Teens Make Health Happen program to be implemented at HJHS as part of the school's mental health intervention efforts. This innovative program empowers students to use their passions to improve their overall well-being and to become leaders for health within their school and community.

The curriculum offers interactive health lessons while providing ongoing resources and support. It equips students to design and lead health-promoting activities on campus that align with important themes in physical, mental, and community health.  The program is at no cost to the school and will be implemented during Wednesday Wellness activities at HJHS.  The proposal documents are included in the back-up materials.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve a Memorandum of Understanding for implementing Teens Make Health Happen to be implemented at Holbrook Junior High School as presented.

Description:
Hulet Elementary is requesting a 60-day review of a counseling book library for small group and individual counseling sessions by the school counselor.  The list of books and the book proposals will be posted for 60-day review on the district website under 60-day review.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the school counselor book selections for 60-day review as outline in the 60-day review proposal.

IX.M. Extra Duty Salary Placement Schedule Update- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of an updated Extra Duty Salary Placement Schedule for sports and fine arts. The update includes listing the Governing Board approved 15% increase for extra duty staff that are beyond the salary schedule of 5 years and notes the 10% or 15% reduction for return to work employees, as well as the rate for Junior Class Sponsor as presented. The revised schedule is included in the back-up materials.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the revised Extra Duty Salary Placement schedule for sports and fine arts as presented.
