Description:
The North Slope Borough School District holds retreats to discuss issues relevant to public education. Topics on the agenda will likely call for board action at a subsequent business meeting. The discussions are primarily among board members. The following procedures will be applied to all board workshops, work sessions, and retreats. The retreat will: 
  • Be a publicly noticed meeting; 
  • Invite comments of individuals or groups for the purpose of further explaining an issue; 
  • Not entertain motions; and, 
  • Be recorded but no minutes will be generated.
