II.A. Discussion of Summer 2023 Work and Review of Equipment Listing for Phase 2 HVAC Retrofit Work at MacArthur
Description:
We are in the process of working with Arcon to coordinate the bid processes for both the Grodsky Basement work and the MacArthur Phase 2 HVAC retrofit work scheduled to be completed this summer.  Funding for these capital projects is to come from the 2021 bond proceeds and the HVAC settlement proceeds s approved by the Board.

In an effort to ensure all equipment and materials will be onsite by June, we will be sharing a listing of equipment that AMSCO will be obtaining multiple quotes on, in advance of the competitive solicitations on services. Current budget for equipment is approximately $565,000.

II.B. Projector Replacement Schedule - Eisenhower School
Description:
In accordance with the Technology Department’s equipment replacement schedule we are in year three of the classroom projector replacements. Amy will provide a brief update on this project for school year 2022-23
Subject:
II.C. Removal of Sign at Ross/Sullivan
Description:
Following approval by the PTO Executive Board, we will be removing the old Ross-Sullivan sign board at Schoenbeck Road.  This was a gift from the PTO many years ago and has not been used in several years.  As the PTO shared in the new wooden signs at both buildings, they are in agreement that the old sign is a bit of an eyesore and should be removed. With the Committee's approval, the sign will be removed.  Panels will be preserved for potential future use.
Subject:
II.D. Arlington Heights Discussion and Planning - R/S Multi-Purpose Room & Carousel Park
Description:
Periodically throughout the year, we meet with partners from the Arlington Heights Park Districts to discuss issues and concerns that may be shared with regard to usage agreements.  In working through the long-range capital plan, we shared the need to replace the floor and curtain wall and re-paint the Ross-Sullivan Multi-Purpose Room.  In accordance with the current Inter-Governmental Agreement, these capital costs are to be shared between the Park District and the School District.  The District will be working towards obtaining bids and finalizing costs for this work.  As the Park District will be in "budget season" in the near future, the District will be expediting these bids.

Additionally, the District owns a parcel of land known as Carousel Park that has been leased to the Park District.  We will have a brief discussion about plans for this land, moving forward.  An Ariel view has been attached for Committee review.  The shaded area is owned by the School District.

II.E. Annual Regional Office of Education (ROE) & Fire Marshall Walk Through - Update
Description:
Mike will share an update following the walkthrough by the Regional Office of Education on October 20, 2022.  There were minimal violations found to be in need of correction within 30 days.

The Fire Marshall is scheduled to visit the District on November 4, 2022.

II.F. Update on Energy Procurement - IEC Pricing Lock
Description:
Following several months of watching fuel prices, the District has locked in a rate per therm for the next twelve months.  As discussed, we will be looking to bid out our energy (electric and fuel) one year from now, as our renewal is up with the Illinois Energy Consortium (IEC).
Subject:
II.G. Verkada Trial
Description:
In the coming weeks, we will be installing a trial safety sensor in one of our bathrooms. This sensor only picks up noise and air quality. As we continue to work with Link Together, a local, Wheeling-based health coalition of school and first responder partners, we work to stay current with trends for health and wellness. Other schools use tools like this to detect vaping or cigarette use. In addition, we will trial one security camera which has been provided free of change by Verkada, a potential vendor.
