III.A. HVAC Needle Point Bipolar Ionization
Description:
Prior to the August Board meeting a question was submitted from a community member asking if the District has looked into HVAC upgrades, like UV light to kill germs and bacteria. Our response was that we were already looking into various options with EMCOR Mechanical. One option is Needle Point Bipolar Ionization. I estimate the cost to outfit the Districts' HVAC inventory to be $350,000-450,000. We're seeking input from the committee if we should continue to investigate these upgrades.
