  • Enrollment at the conclusion of the 2015 - 2016 academic year was 408

Description:
  • The Greenbush Middle River School District graduated 37 students in May of 2016.
  • Anticipated Kindergarten enrollment in August of 2016 is approximately 21 students.
  • Based on outgoing Seniors and incoming Kindergarten students only....the Greenbush Middle River School Districts is projected to decline in enrollment by 16 students.
  • 2016 - 2017 anticipated enrollment is 392 K-12 Students

  • Administration is recommending Trish Waage as Special Education Teacher
  • Mrs. Schultz and Mr. Sparby interviewed Mrs. Waage 
  • Mrs. Waage previously taught in the MCC School District

7.1.g. Greenbush Middle River FIRST Robotics  State Champions
Description:
  • FIRST Robotics participated in a Minnesota State High School League sponsored State Championship competition May 21st in Minneapolis.
  • The Greenbush Middle River FIRST Robotics team was claimed the State Championship while competing against the 30 highest ranking Minnesota Robotics programs based on previous regional competitions.
  • The GMR Robotics team members included Irondale-New Brighton and New London Spicer.

Description:
  • Won Section 8A Championship
  • Advanced to the Minnesota State High School League Softball Tournament
  • After winning Quarterfinal and Semi Final game the Gators eventually were defeated the State Championship game.
  • BGMR Gator Softball team finished Second in Minnesota State High School League Class A Softball
  • Gator Softball team is coached by Kent Christian and assisted by Dave Blazek and Meghan Kvien

Description:
  • The BGMR Gator Baseball team won the Section 8A Championship
  • Advanced to the Minnesota State High School League Class A Baseball Tournament
  • The Gators were defeated in the quarterfinal game 3-2 by the number one ranked team in State of Minnesota.
  • In the consolation semifinal, the Gators were defeated 4-0 by Legacy Christian Academy.
  • BGMR Gator Baseball team is coached by Nathan Voll and assisted by Todd Bergeron at the Varsity level as well as Jim Mack.

  • The District received applications for both positions
  • Interviews have been scheduled for Tuesday as well as Wednesday

Description:
  • Eide Bailly is scheduled to conduct annually district audit during the month of August for Fiscal Year 2016
  • Eide Bailly has conducted district audits for the past 3 years.

Description:
  • Greenbush Middle River School District is currently a member of the Minnesota Rural Education Association
  • MREA advocates exclusively for Greater Minnesota School Districts
  • MREA provides guidance and information relating to best practice within education, professional development opportunities as well as legislative policy.
  • MREA provides a voice at the Minnesota Legislature advocating for policy, testifying before committees as well as informing legislators on the issues that impact rural education.
  • Annual board approval is required to renew membership in the Minnesota Rural Education Association.
