4. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - INTERVIEWS AND PLANS
Presenter:
Lesley Chester
Description:
We have 24 applicants.  We received one application postmarked past the deadline and over a week late.  It is recommended to not include as they did not submit by deadline.

We are going to trying virtual interviews and are preparing the revised questions to be sent to both the students and the interviewers.  We need interviewers for Tuesday, April 7, Wednesday, April 8, and Thursday, April 9.  Attached are the names of the students who have applied along with the proposed interview schedule.

We need board members to help with interviews.  Lesley put out a request for interviewers from our scholarship donors too.  So far, Prior Lake Lions Club would like to try to participate.  Our challenge is having everyone with the technology to participate in the interviews.

5. PLANS FOR FOUNDATION FUNCTIONS
Presenter:
Lesley Chester
Description:
Discussion needed to plans in operating the foundation through the pandemic.  We need to consider that we will be social distancing for quite a while.  Given that, to operate the foundation:

1.  All meetings should be conducted virtually or through conference call until notice
2.  We should cancel/postpone the Scholarship Breakfast in May.  We need to discuss alternatives for the breakfast outside of just mailing the certificates to the recipients.  Maybe there is a way to still recognize our recipients through posting a PowerPoint or video that showcases the students like during the program.
3.  Graduations and Teacher Appreciation - We will need to pay close attention to what the district will do about graduations and if the teacher appreciation is cancelled we should discuss how we appreciate the teachers maybe at the fall kickoff.
4.  Fall Gala - We sincerely hope that we will be in a more social environment by this fall.  We do need to discuss alternative ideas and keep in mind that all the spring fundraisers are being postponed until fall adding to competition or cancelled.
5.  As for operating day to day, there is a plan for making sure we are paying bills and functioning behind the scenes.
