5.5. National Drug Facts Week: Life Through the Lens of Recovery II

Description:
SouthWest Metro High School is proud to announce Life Through Lens of Recovery II will take place on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 12:40-1:30. This year we will have speakers from the StepUp Program at Augsburg College. The StepUp Program is a sober support network for students at Augsburg. The StepUP Program "strives to help students champion lives of recovery, achieve academic success, and thrive in a community of accountability and support." We would love to have staff and up to 10 students join us for this event. If you have students who are struggling with chemical use or recovery and believe they would benefit from hearing from these students, we would enjoy having them. In addition, this would be a great opportunity for your students to hear about ways to help support their recovery at post-secondary institutions. The speakers will begin by sharing their stories of hope and inspiration and will end with a question and answer session.
