  • PA 152 
    • Increase of 7% on hardcap 
    • Minimum 3% increase each year
    • 80% employer paid is the floor 
    • No impact on SISD until July 1
    • Passed both the House and the Senate but has not yet been presented to the Governor, who has 14 days to sign once it is presented by the House.  
  • ESTA
    • Current impact on Admin/Non-Barg 
    • Good with other groups until CBA expiration on June 30, 2026 
    • Looking for changes with HB 4002 but it won't be in time for February 21st effective date.
  • Minimum Wage 
    • Jan 1, 2025 - $10.56
    • Feb 21, 2025 - $12.48
2.B. HR County, Regional, and State Support 
  • Scott and I presented to the Thumb Region School Business Officials on miscellaneous HR items on 1/9/25.
  • Jenn attended Education Day at Leadership Saginaw to talk about Teacher Shortage in addition to D. Smith, R. Woods, E. Taylor, D. Krantz.
  • We talked with Transition Center students about HR in the workplace and had mock interviews with the students. 
  • Worked with SCC education students in resume prep
  • Scott is facilitating a new HR Town Hall Committee with MSBO - the first meeting is this Friday.  
  • SISD HR will be supporting a new Carrollton HR Director once hired
