Description:
The board reviewed the 2020 Platform at the November study session.  Board approval of the 2020 Platform is requested.  The committee will also share details on the upcoming meeting with local legislators in 2020.

11.F. Approval of Combined Polling Place Resolution
Description:
Per 2017 election law, school districts require approval of a resolution to combine polling places yearly.  The board is requested to adopt the following resolution:
"RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMBINED POLLING PLACES FOR MULTIPLE PRECINCTS AND DESIGNATING HOURS DURING WHICH THE POLLING PLACES WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR VOTING FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS NOT HELD ON THE DAY OF A STATEWIDE ELECTION".  Roll call vote is requested.

14.A. MSBA Leadership Registration
Description:
The 2020 MSBA Annual leadership Conference is scheduled for January 16-17, 2020, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The Convention Center is located at 1301 Second Avenue South in Minneapolis.There is no registration fee for MSBA members to attend this two-day conference. MSBA provides this free conference every January as part of members’ annual dues. The conference features nationally recognized speakers, workshops on a variety of topics, a School Excellence Showcase (formerly called Show & Tell), and a trade show. Early Bird Sessions are provided the evening before the conference.  Please RSVP to Martha Walz if you are planning on attending.
