9.C. 2023-2024 Superintendent Approved Professional New Hire Contract Recommendations: Renee Smith-Faulkner, Superintendent of Schools, reports three new professional contracts that are listed on the organizational chart for the 2023-2024 School Year for this meeting as of July 13, 2023.
9.D. Wells Fargo Bank will be presenting a check to the Education Foundation for $5,000 for the Castleberry ISD Back to School Bash.
 
10. CONSENT AGENDA
10.A. Consider Approval of Board Minutes from June 5, 2023, for a Regular Meeting, and June 20, 2023, for a Special Board Meeting.
10.B. Consider Approval of Claims Administrative Services as the provider of Workers Compensation Insurance for Castleberry ISD. With the selection of Option 2, the estimated contribution will be $57,045.00 and the loss fund maximum will be $175,649.00. 
10.C. Consider Board Approval of the Board (LOCAL) Policies from the Policy Review Session conducted on January 26, 2023, with drafts prepared by TASB Policy Service.
11. ACTION ITEMS
11.A. Consider All Matters related to Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
11.A.1. Consider Approval of The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk as the Approved Vendor for the Math Framework Strong Foundations Grant in the amount of $112,000 and Contract pending approval of NOGA.
11.B. Consider All Matters related to Educational Leadership, including, but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
11.B.1. Consider Approval of the 2023-2024 CISD Student Code of Conduct.
11.C. Consider All Matters related to Financial, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
11.C.1. Consider Approval of the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) Proposed Budget 2024: The estimated allocations in the TAD proposed budget are based on the September 2022 value estimates and the 2022 adopted tax rates. The official allocations for 2024 will be based on the certified values from 2023 and the 2023 adopted tax rates for each taxing unit as those are finalized. The TAD proposed budget is attached for your review and information.
11.C.2. Consider Approval of Budget Amendment: The Operating Budget for CISD is adopted by the Board of Education at the fund and function level. By law, the District may not exceed the budget amounts within "Function" code without prior approval of the Board. Fund 199 Function 81 would be increased by $3,400,000 and Assigned Fund Balance would be decreased by $3,400,00 to fund anticipated expense for WRA's Architectural Services Proposal.
11.C.3. Consider Approval of Resolution# 24-001 by the Board of Education of Castleberry ISD establishing the District's intention to reimburse itself for the prior lawful expenditure of funds from the proceeds of obligations to be issued by the District for authorized purposes, and other matters in connection therewith.
11.C.4. Consider Approval of Resolution# 24-002 to join the Central Texas Purchasing Alliance (CTPA) Cooperative: Joining the Central Texas Purchasing Alliance (CTPA) Cooperative will allow Castleberry ISD to purchase commodities and/or services from any and all CTPA vendors, under the same terms, conditions, and prices as stated in each awarded contract.
11.D. Consider All Matters related to Student Services/Capital Improvements Projects, including but not limited to reports, finances, and/or proposals.
11.D.1. Consider Approval WRA Architects Proposal for Bond Planning that includes the Schematic Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding/ Negotiation and Construction Administration for the Castleberry High School Construction Project. Funding Source:  Fund Balance.
11.D.2. Consider Approval of AIA-B101 Contract for Architectural and Engineering Services with WRA Architects for the Castleberry High School Construction Project.
11.D.3. Consider Approval of the purchase of one 53' Clubhouse Trailer from Clubhouse Trailer Company not to exceed the amount of $150,000. Cooperative Contract: CTPA (Central Texas Purchasing Alliance) #2109-775-261.  Funding Source: Replacement Plan.

12.A.1. Effective the 2023-2024 school year, Castleberry Independent School District will operate the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs under the Community Eligibility Program (CEP). This program allows all of our schools to serve breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge.
12.A.2. TRS Active Care Rates for 2023-2024 are presented. A premium comparison table of 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 is included for your review.
12.A.3. Monthly Expenditure Report: The attached schedule lists all checks written for the month of June 2023.
12.A.4. Castleberry ISD schools receive a variety of donations each month. A list of donations for the month of June 2023 are attached.
