6.a. January is Board Recognition Month:
     * We appreciate our School Board members and want to thank them for everything they do!!
6.b. Thank you to the Festival Committee for their donations gathered at Christmas in Lakeview.  The items donated will go a long way for the students of Lakeview Community Schools.  The continued generosity of our community is appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
6.c. Thank you to the Lakeview District Fire Department for their support in sending off our Lakeview Elementary students to Christmas Break in style with a surprise visit from Santa.  This gesture was very well received by parents and students.
6.d. Thank you to Holly Poll and Tanya Ringlever for their continued efforts with the Giving Tree.  This year's donations supported 181 children from 74 Lakeview Community Schools families.  Holly and Tanya have given countless hours of their personal time towards this project over the years.  The need continues to grow, and they always find a way to make sure all families are supported.
