The public is cautioned about making statements against employees of the District that may be considered slanderous. IX.A. Public Comment On Maintenance and Operations Override- Dr. Koerperich
|
|
|
Description:
A.R.S. 15-481 requires that each school district that currently increases the district budget through a Maintenance and Operations (M & O) Override holds a public meeting each year to provide an update of the programs or capital improvements financed through the override. We would like to provide time to discuss our district’s use of our 10% M & O Override and take public comments as applicable.

IX.B. Instructional Time Model First Public Hearing- Dr. Koerperich

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting to hold a public hearing on updates to the HUSD #3 Instructional Time Model (ITM) aligned to instructional time flexibility provided by HB 2862. The Instructional Time Model (ITM) allows for up to forty-percent of instructional time to be remote or virtual if the district chooses such an instructional platform.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to hold discussion on the Instructional Time Model (ITM); as well as, take public comment pertaining to Instructional Time Models for HUSD #3. |

The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of the FY 27 School Safety Grant and Off Duty Management for game security as presented. The grant will provide a full-time counselor at Hulet Elementary, Indian Wells Elementary and a School Safety Officer (SSO) split between Holbrook Junior High and Holbrook High School. The Holbrook School District is also requesting to use Off Duty Management for game security. The School Safety Grant and SSO job description is included in the back-up materials.

The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval for the Arizona School Administrators Association (ASA) to conduct the HUSD #3 Superintendent search. The approval will allow Governing Board President Stuart and Superintendent Koerperich to begin working with ASA to conduct the search beginning in September. The Board President and Dr. Koerperich will give regular updates to the Board as the process evolves.
Recommendation: Motion to approve Dr. Joraanstad from the Arizona School Administrators Association to provide a brief overview of ASA's services for a superintendent search. Motion for discussion and consideration to approve the Arizona School Administrators Association to begin the superintendent search process on behalf of the HUSD #3 Governing Board. |
