IX.A. Public Comment On Maintenance and Operations Override- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
A.R.S. 15-481 requires that each school district that currently increases the district budget through a Maintenance and Operations (M & O) Override holds a public meeting each year to provide an update of the programs or capital improvements financed through the override. We would like to provide time to discuss our district’s use of our 10% M & O Override and take public comments as applicable.
 
Description: Recommendation: Presentation on the use of the Holbrook Unified School District Maintenance and Operations Override; as well as, accept public comment concerning override funding.

IX.B. Instructional Time Model First Public Hearing- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting to hold a public hearing on updates to the HUSD #3 Instructional Time Model (ITM) aligned to instructional time flexibility provided by HB 2862. The Instructional Time Model (ITM) allows for up to forty-percent of instructional time to be remote or virtual if the district chooses such an instructional platform.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to hold discussion on the Instructional Time Model (ITM); as well as, take public comment pertaining to Instructional Time Models for HUSD #3.

Description:
The Holbrook USD #3 Prop 301 committee is requesting Governing Board approval of the SY 26-27 Prop 301 Plan. The Prop 301 performance pay plan has been approved by over 70% of the eligible participants.
 
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the Prop 301 Performance Pay Plan as presented.

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of the Park Elementary Gym Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) #2 (soils conditions) and #3 (gym) as presented.

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of a Data Classification Report and Information Technology Systems Software administrative procedures to meet audit compliance as presented.

IX.G. School Safety Grant & Off Duty Management Approval- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of the FY 27 School Safety Grant and Off Duty Management for game security as presented.  The grant will provide a full-time counselor at Hulet Elementary, Indian Wells Elementary and a School Safety Officer (SSO) split between Holbrook Junior High and Holbrook High School. The Holbrook School District is also requesting to use Off Duty Management for game security. The School Safety Grant and SSO job description is included in the back-up materials.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the FY 27 School Safety Grant, School Safety Officer job description and Off Duty Management for game security as presented.

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of a job description for the position of Student Support Interventionist as presented.  This position will help with in-school student support as part of the school's student support system.

Description:
Holbrook High School and Holbrook Junior High School are requesting Governing Board approval of an AVID Site Coordinator Extra Duty job description for AVID responsibilities to fulfill the duties of the AVID program at each school.  The job description is included in the back-up materials.

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of an updated FY 27 Classified Salary Placement Schedule to include the Student Support Interventionist position to be placed at Grade 6.  The salary placement schedule is included in the back-up materials.

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting an update of the FY 27 Substitute Salary Placement Schedule to include prep period substitution rates at $45 per hour for teachers that substitute during their prep period.  The Substitute Salary Placement Schedule is included in the back-up materials.

Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of an updated Game Officials administrative procedure.  The procedure updates the official's rate of pay $5 from the previous amount.  The administrative procedure is included in the back-up materials.

Description:
The Holbrook High School Child Development Program is requesting to designate Reality Works as a sole source for the purchase of a RealCare Baby 4 Infant Simulator Program.  The program is estimated to exceed the $15,000 bid threshold and the program has been unable to find competitive bids. The sole source designation is included in the back-up materials.

Description:

IX.S. Arizona School Administration Superintendent Search Approval- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval for the Arizona School Administrators Association (ASA) to conduct the HUSD #3 Superintendent search. The approval will allow Governing Board President Stuart and Superintendent Koerperich to begin working with ASA to conduct the search beginning in September. The Board President and Dr. Koerperich will give regular updates to the Board as the process evolves.

Recommendation: Motion to approve Dr. Joraanstad from the Arizona School Administrators Association to provide a brief overview of ASA's services for a superintendent search.

Motion for discussion and consideration to approve the Arizona School Administrators Association to begin the superintendent search process on behalf of the HUSD #3 Governing Board.
